Botanical dye – Lily of the valley

Lily of the valley is an excellent plant for botanical dyeing. Using autumnal leaves gives off the most beautiful apricot tones or soft powdery hues.

For this purpose, the leaves should be foraged when they are completely faded with brown, yellow or orange colouring. If the leaves are still green, it is too early to pick them for the peachy colour palette.
